46th Congress of the Romanian Society of Neurosurgery Postponed

Dear Colleagues,

We have all seen how challenging the effects of the Coronavirus outbreak have been until now. Due to the increased level of uncertainty regarding further restrictions, unpredictable travel limitations and a possible surge in the number of new COVID-19 cases, we have reached the difficult decision to postpone the 46th Congress of the Romanian Society of Neurosurgery in Bucharest to the next year.

For us, as a society, not being able to meet in person this year is regretful, but we are hoping to see each other in September 2021 in Bucharest.

We wish you and your families health and strength during this difficult time.

Dear Colleagues,

In my capacity as the president elect of the Romanian Society of Neurosurgery, on behalf of this community, of my collaborators and personally I would like to welcome you at this event.

We are honored and, at the same time, delighted to host the 46th Congress of the Romanian Society of Neurosurgery, in conjunction with the 25th Francophone Neurosurgery Course, in the capital of Romania, Bucharest, a city in which the vast European culture harmoniously blends with the refined echoes of the Orient.

One of the first Romanian neurosurgery centers was established in Bucharest, namely in 1935. The city is currently one of the main neurosurgery centers in our country, with multiple neurosurgery departments, both in the public and private health system.

The city has grown tremendously over the last few years, becoming a veritable multicultural European metropolis with over 3 million inhabitants. From the Palace of the Parliament, the 2nd largest building in the world, to the beautiful Old Centre, to it’s many parks with a great history for the locals, Bucharest has a plethora of beautiful places to visit whether it is for relaxation or business.

It is a great honor for the Romanian Society of Neurosurgery to host our event in Bucharest, a city with a rich history.

May this congress lead to stronger friendships and new international connections within our sacred specialty.
